Matt Clarke completed his apprenticeship with O'Brien\u00ae<\/sup> eight years ago and has worked with the company ever since, servicing predominately the Northern Suburbs of Sydney.<\/p>\n

Although he joined as an apprentice, glazing is his second trade, having already worked as a fitter and machinist.<\/p>\n

Matt says the best thing about being on the tools with O'Brien\u00ae<\/sup> is the comradery and the fact that every day in the job is different.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love how everyone brings their own skills and experience to the role. There are lots of tips and tricks and everyone brings something unique. I have been fortunate enough to have worked in a great team and been taught well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt admits to being a perfectionist in his work, which is great news for his customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best part about my job is seeing the job from start to finish; assessing the damage, working to fix the damage and then ensuring the customer is happy and satisfied with the result.\u201d<\/p>\n

There has been a fair bit of development in Matt\u2019s part of Sydney and he has relished the opportunity to work on large scale commercial jobs<\/a> that require more than one glazier. In the biz, they are referred to as \u201cmulti-handler\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe large scale commercial stuff can be complex and require different thinking to be able to do the work safely but I find it hugely rewarding to solve those problems as part of a team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Outside of work, Matt is a keen snowboarder and the sport has taken him around the world. He\u2019s looking forward to getting his daughter out on a board in time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
